One of Redmond’s favorite restaurants will soon debut in one of Bend’s most scenic locations along the banks of the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District.
Jeff Porad, owner of Brickhouse Steak & Seafood in Redmond, plans to open a second location of his popular restaurant at 803 SW Industrial Way in Bend, which formerly has been home to Fireside Red and most recently NW Urban Grill.
NW Urban Grill owner Katherine Zemke recently announced that she’d sold the restaurant to Porad, but offered words of thanks to the patrons who had supported the NW Urban Grill during its five-month tenure.
Porad said the menu at the new Brickhouse will be very similar to that of his original location, but said that he does plan to make some changes to the restaurant’s interior.
“We’re going to give the dining room a complete remodel, and bring in some beautiful furniture,” Porad said.
He plans to open the new Brickhouse no later than December 1.
