Steve Redman of Windermere is ‘coming home’ with purchase of Windermere Central Oregon.
Windermere Real Estate, the largest regional real estate company in the Western U.S., announce a recent change in ownership of the company’s Windermere Central Oregon Real Estate offices in Bend, Redmond and Sunriver. Steve Redman and Hong Wolfe, owners of Windermere Willamette Valley with offices in Albany and Corvallis, purchased the company from former Windermere Central Oregon owners, Lawnae Hunter and Tona Restine.
Redman is coming back to his original Oregon roots with this purchase. Before owning and operating multiple Windermere offices in Nevada, Corvallis and Albany, Redman lived in Bend for four years, working with many local real estate brokers as a mortgage officer. In fact, a mutual family connection brought about the Central Oregon ownership change. Redman and Restine discovered that their daughters were teammates on the Mountain View High School cheer squad in Bend.
“Without that initial connection, we probably wouldn’t have started discussing purchasing options. We weren’t actively pursuing an expansion, but it started to make sense with our history in the area,” said Redman. “Central Oregon will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s amazing to witness its tremendous growth and we look forward to playing an active role in each of its unique communities.”
Although Redman and Wolfe’s combined offices have 100 real estate brokers and experienced sales in excess of $250 million in 2015, a small handful of broker positions are available. Nine openings for experienced brokers are available in Sunriver, six are available in Bend and Redmond is at capacity.
“We accept full-time brokers who want to pursue real estate for the long haul. Our brokers continually set the standard of excellence within the industry by providing superb service to buyers and sellers within the communities they serve,” said Redman.
A continued focus on serving the local Central Oregon community will remain, with Windermere brokers donating a portion of every transaction to the Windermere Foundation which supports low-income and homeless families.
Redman and Wolfe have owned/operated Windermere Willamette Valley for three years. Redman, a native Oregonian and military veteran, has more than thirty years of experience in real estate, banking and finance. Wolfe, a Stanford Ph.D. and former professor of chemistry, is licensed in Oregon, Washington and California.
