Do you want to ensure Oregon has a modern transportation system that helps workers get to where jobs are? One that lets children walk and bike safely to and from school; and one that allows older Oregonians and people with disabilities to get where they need to go?
You can help shape the future of transportation for your community and Oregon by joining the August 18 public transportation hearing in Bend with state lawmakers and sending a clear message: Oregonians want a modern transportation system that provides more options for all of us – with well-maintained roads and bridges, convenient public transportation and safe places to walk and bike.

The more transportation options we have, the more our communities will thrive. It’s important that your lawmakers know that you care about walking, bicycling and transit being safe and convenient for all.
Can’t make the hearing in person? That’s OK – the Joint Committee on Transportation Preservation and Modernization will include your written comments as part of the official legislative record. You can submit comments to the following email addresses until September 21!
The official submission email – jtpm.exhibits@state.or.us
the direct submission email – Patrick.h.brennan@state.or.us
We are working with people across the state to ensure the Oregon Legislature passes a transportation package that must:
be robustly multimodal, increasing active transportation options across the state benefit and not harm vulnerable communities
increase safety, reduce pollution, and improve health outcomes be transparent on decisions about transportation investments.
The benefits of transportation are far reaching: We’ll all breathe a little easier, be more active and have a more access to the resources we need to live our lives: health providers, schools, daycare, public services, grocery stores, employment and more. Thank you for helping us demonstrate how important this issue is to people in the Eugene-Springfield area!
