Cascade Publications Inc. announces the release of the fourth issue of Bend Fashion Quarterly (BFQ), a fashion and lifestyle magazine reflecting the trends of the High Desert.
Increasing content to 120 pages, this issue covers a vast array of themes that showcase the diversity of Central Oregon. From featuring prominent and influential female figures in the Women in Real Estate section, to the cover story on organic farmer Sarahlee Lawrence from Rainshadow Organics, BFQ is intensifying its focus on all things relating to the specific recreational lifestyle associated with Bend.
Magdalena Bokowa, BFQ’s new art director, uncovers the unique and upcoming fall fashion trends and tells you where you can find the hottest local fashion.
Founder and Publisher Pamela Hulse Andrews, highlights the Forces of Fashion section and showcases three fabulous local boutiques that feature both local and international designers.
While Tori Youngbauer and Bokowa shine a spotlight on local designers with Jeanine Carver’s versatile wools, Waylon Lewis’ exclusive jewelry designs, Nicole Floods distinctive clothing ensembles and Nomad Leather’s unique leather goods in the Wearable Art section.
Krystal Marie Collins, BFQ’s marketing director brings the focus back to lifestyle by writing about the past, present and future of paddleboarding, gaining insight from industry greats like Meg and Dave Chun and Gerry Lopez. Collins sheds light on the growing trend and elegance of aerial arts and the concepts of glamping in Central Oregon. She rounds out the lifestyle section by sharing stories of how Bend locals like Kit Carmiencke, Scott Allen and Elise Kukulka are harvesting their happiness in their everyday pursuits.
Jumping back into school, BFQ showcases students with collegiate fashion photo shoot at the Old Ironworks, featuring Howl Attire and Stuart’s of Bend swimsuits. The lineup of talented photographers grows in addition to Maria Bay with Tambi Lane and Shasta Lin, as well as illustrations by Robyn Cochran-Ragland.
Andrews reflects, “It has been such an inspirational journey here at BFQ. Our team is constantly striving to evolve the magazine to truly reflect the lifestyle trends found unique here to Central Oregon. I can’t wait for you to read the next issue.”
Collins notes, “We at BFQ have tried to showcase all that makes Bend and the surrounding area its own cosmopolitan and individual town. From paddle boarding to aerial arts, I think we really do have it all, and it’s exciting to showcase the individuals who are making life here better than it already is.”
