BLRB Architects has been selected to receive a Award of “Outstanding Design: Elementary Schools” for Barnes Butte Elementary and will appear in the 2016 American School and University Architectural Portfolio, the premier showcase celebrating the best in education design.
This year, the panel of Architectural Portfolio judges selected various school projects from all over the country to be featured in the November 2016 issue of American School & University. Barnes Butte is the only school selected from Oregon.
The Crook County School District’s new facility opened in September 2015. The school was designed for flexibility and includes multiple breakout areas for small group instruction and team teaching, as well as community-use spaces.
This is BLRB’s seventh year in a row to receive such an award and distinctive recognition for their K-12 designs, and it’s first project located in Central Oregon.
