Groundbreaking for the new 50,000 square foot Toyota-Scion of Bend dealership building will take place in early April 2010. The project is slated to achieve a LEED Gold designation. The site is located on south Third Street adjacent to and south of the Mercedes dealership. Some site preparation and utility installation have already been accomplished.
Architect for the project, which has been over six years in planning, is Neal Huston & Associates, Architects Inc. SunWest Builders is the general contractor selected to build the project. It is anticipated that completion will be fall of 2010.
Owner of both the Mercedes and Toyota dealerships, Todd Sprague, has planned the project to increase operational efficiencies through the adjacency of the facilities.
