In July, Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) moved into the vacated St. Charles Pioneer Memorial Hospital facility, which it purchased last November for $1.5 million from the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Foundation. LCSNW has big plans for the 12-acre campus and 96,000 square foot building space for a multitude of mental health services.

Lutheran Community Services Northwest is the mental health provider for Crook County, which offers a variety of counseling services for adults, youths, couples and families. Services provided include anger management, group counseling, WRAP around services, school-based services, young adult in transition treatment hub, crisis counseling and intervention, 24-hour on-call crisis help, a mobile crisis team, medication management services, employment support, substance use disorders, residential housing, long-term treatment, Intellectual Developmental Disabilities program and other services. Daily assessments for walk-ins are available through our robust Intake and Engagement office.

Lutheran Community Services Northwest is part of a larger organization, which includes 750 employees in 30 offices throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Senior District Director, Bob Pickel, who has been with the organization for 22 years is looking forward to leading the Prineville team to best serve the clients and community partners of Crook County. There have been several leadership changes to improve the services provided. The organization has hired and promoted from within for many key mental health and administrative positions. The organization continues to recruit talent and support the community by becoming an employer of choice for the city of Prineville. “Currently, the organization is recruiting for several key positions including program managers, clinical supervisors, therapists, coordinators and peer support professionals” said Julie Leutschaft, District Human Resources Business Partner. “We currently have 5 offices in Central Oregon including Hope Academy in Terrebonne and a mental health office in Bend. We are looking forward to filling the vacancies immediately,” said Leutschaft. Interested applicants please look at our website at www.lcsnw.org and visit us on Facebook. We are looking forward to providing holistic mental health services including yoga therapy and art therapy in the near future.
