Business Registrations up 9% over January, 2017
After registering more businesses per capita than any other large city in Oregon in 2017, Bend entrepreneurs started 2018 strong, registering 9% more businesses than they did in January 2017. Entrepreneurs registered 355 new Bend businesses with the Oregon Secretary of State in January 2018 (versus 325 in January 2017). This was once again the most registrations per capita of any large city in Oregon.
“With small business optimism nationally extremely high, and with our mild January weather relative to the same month in 2017, maybe the strong results should not be a surprise,” business attorney Jeff Eager said. “It’s great to see 2018 off to such a strong start.”
