This Thursday, May 24 from 5:30-8pm Downtown Bend Business and Building owners and community partners will be gathering at the Oxford Hotel ballroom to celebrate Downtown Bend and to eat, drink and be giving! Live music will be provided by Hot Club of Bend, free appetizers by 10 Below, beer, wine and a no-host bar will be available, plus a silent auction with generous donations from 100+ Oregon businesses.
“We are thrilled to have so much support!” says Aisling, Executive Director of the DBBA, “We see Downtown as an asset to our entire City and the Central Oregon community. It’s wonderful to see the greater Bend area – and, in fact, businesses from across Central Oregon donating to raise funds for our beloved Downtown.”
Also, as a part of the event, the DBBA will reveal its new logo and branding message. As directly requested from Business and Building owners, Downtown Bend is getting a facelift – not only with a deep cleaning of sidewalks and alleyways in Downtown, but with a new fresh logo and image for Downtown. The Deschutes Historical Museum will be at the event to share the story of the original emblem club and the early history of Downtown and DBBA Director will share the Downtown vision for the next 100 years.
“Our primary goal with this event is to bring together those of us who live, work and promote Downtown Bend. Our Board of Directors is passionate about building a positive Downtown culture, and that starts with key stakeholders and business leaders gathering to celebrate the vitality of Downtown Bend. We also hope that this event will be an impactful way for our organization to raise funds to keep Downtown Bend beautiful.” says Rick Wright, DBBA Board President.
