Flu season is here, have you received your flu shot yet? On average, every year in the United States: 5 percent to 20 percent of the population gets the flu; More than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications and nearly 36,000 people die from flu.
The following is our schedule of community flu shot clinics as offered by HealthWise Inc. HealthWise is a local health management company with a history in Central Oregon for over 20 years. They are members of the Central Oregon community and you can be assured that all immunizations meet the highest standards and are administered by trained local professionals.
Flu shots will be provided for adults and children over the age of 9 years at the following locations:
Tuesday, September 20, 12 noon – 6pm at Rays Food Place in LaPine
Wednesday, September 21, 12 noon – 6pm at the Big R Store in Redmond
Friday, September 23, 12 noon – 6pm at Newport Ave. Market in Bend
Friday, September 30, 12 noon – 6pm at Rays Food Place in Sisters
Friday, October 7, 12 noon – 6pm at Newport Ave. Market in Bend
Saturday, October 8, 11am – 4pm at Rays Food Place in Sisters
Wednesday, October 12, 12 noon – 6pm at Lutton’s Ace Hardware in Sisters
Thursday, October 13, 12 noon – 6pm at the Big R Store in Redmond
Tuesday, October 18, 12 noon – 6pm at Rays Food Place in LaPine
Wednesday, October 26, 12 noon – 6pm at Newport Ave. Market in Bend
The cost for each flu shot is $25. Medicare B, Pacific Source, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and ODS-plus are all accepted.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit and support Healthy Beginnings, a non-profit organization that provides free health and developmental screenings to children birth through five years throughout Deschutes County.
