Housing Works and EPIC Property Management, LLC (EPIC) is taking applications on for Hawks View Estates, an affordable apartment community located in La Pine at 51750 Little Deschutes Lane near Little Deschutes Lodge. The development will provide La Pine with new affordable housing for 42 households. As an affordable property, income restrictions will apply and rents will be well below market rates.
EPIC will be accepting applications for four days only, selecting qualified tenants through a lottery. The waitlist lottery will ensure that all applicants are given an equal opportunity to obtain an affordable apartment. Pets will be permitted with a pet deposit.
Applications will be accepted Monday, November 5 through Thursday, November 8 between the hours of 9am and 6pm. Applications must be hand-delivered to the La Pine Senior Center, 16450 Victory Way, La Pine, Oregon. The time that you apply during the open period (November 5 through 8) does not affect your position on the waitlist, as it will be generated through a lottery process. Late applications will not be accepted.
The community will offer eight one-bedroom units, 17 two-bedroom units and 17 three-bedroom townhomes on 2.55 acres for families at or below 60 percent area median income (AMI). The community consists of nine residential buildings and one community room with leasing office. Housing Works anticipates 14 units to be available for occupancy in January with the remaining 28 units becoming available in March.
Hawks View Estates is being developed by Housing Works, the largest affordable housing provider in Central Oregon, in response to the critical shortage of affordable rental housing in La Pine. The apartment community will offer residents a variety of services and activities through a number of partner agencies.
