The fourth annual Redmond Kiwanis Oktoberfest Auction will raise funds for the Early Literacy Initiative of the Deschutes County Library Foundation.
The fun begins at 5:30pm on Saturday, November 5, at the Eagle Crest Convention Center with Beer (and wine), Brats and Bids. Anyone 21 years or older is invited. Admission is $25, including brats, trimmings and beer or wine. Corporate tables are available for $400.
Tickets are available via PayPal at www.redmondkiwanis.org
St. Charles Health System is the corporate sponsor.
Since the early 1970s the Kiwanis Club of Redmond has sponsored an annual community-wide auction that has evolved into Oktoberfest.
After an attendance of approximately 225 last year, Kiwanis is expecting a capacity crowd of 300 this year, so advance purchase of tickets is recommended.
The Early Literacy Initiative focus is creating a better awareness of the skills a child needs in order to learn to read. In the current economic climate, Kiwanis believe this is an under-recognized program that fits the Kiwanis mission.
