Bend, Ore. — Thomas Sayeg and Douglas Downer have been re-elected for another three-year term on the St. Charles Health System Board of Directors. Carol Woodard-Kozimor and Robin Gould — who have served on the board for nine and three years respectively — have concluded their service.
Sayeg, an attorney with the law firm Karnopp Petersen LLP and a St. Charles director since 2006, will serve as board chairman for 2012. Daniel Schuette, a director since 2007, will serve as vice chairman for 2012.
In the past, Sayeg has served on the St. Charles Foundation board and its key committees. Outside of St. Charles, he also participates on the boards of educational institutions and is an officer of the Oregon Board of Taxation and Business.
Schuette, manager of the Financial Planning and Investment departments at Community First Bank, brings more than 22 years of financial planning and investing experience to his position as vice chairman. He also serves as chair of the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Board of Directors.
Comprised of community leaders and members of the St. Charles medical staff, the 12-person St. Charles Health System Board of Directors provides oversight and direction for the nonprofit corporation, the largest employer in Central Oregon.
