The Prineville Hospital Foundation has been selected as the beneficiary of the Art Round Up At The Ranch a series of art receptions and a cumulating art gala presented by Brasada Ranch.
Kendra Littrell, Range restaurant manager at Brasada Ranch said “We are excited to host these events at the ranch. The presenting artists will attend the receptions and will bring a collection of their work for display. They will choose one piece for the Silent Auction, taking place during the reception, and the proceeds will benefit the Prineville Hospital Foundation. We will also be providing complimentary appetizers and a no host bar.”
The first art reception will be held on Friday, February 24 at 5:30pm at the Ranch House at Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte. Featured artists include Barbara Berry of Sisters, Nancy Keating of Sisters and work from Blue Spruce Pottery of Bend.
Keating creates acrylic murals and landscapes. She said “I have discovered an art form that is interesting, quite different and fun to create. My pieces are made of clay and pine needles.”
Berry will have on display Color of Silence her original acrylic painting of fall aspen trees near Black Butte. Berry’s work is best termed contemporary realism featuring close-up images to invite the viewer to “enter” and participate in the scene.
Bobbi Brooks, president of the Prineville Hospital Foundation board of directors said “The Prineville Hospital Foundation signature fundraising event has historically been the annual Art and Music Gala. We are honored that Brasada Ranch has selected the Prineville Hospital Foundation as the beneficiary of its Art Round Up at The Ranch events. This partnership with Brasada offers a fresh and different approach to the Foundation’s tradition of bringing the community together in support of our local hospital.”
Art Round Up At The Ranch will also be held on April 27, June 29, August 24 and the gala hosted on October 26.
