The inaugural Outdoor City USA festival is in the books, and with nearly 4,000 attendees taking part in three days of outdoor activities, plans are already being made to expand the event for 2020 and to add a second festival in the Eastern U.S. Organizers say that feedback from vendors, sponsors and attendees is encouraging.
The brainchild of bicycle industry veteran Beverly Lucas, who witnessed the demise of the traditional industry trade show and saw an untapped opportunity to promote inclusivity in sports and the outdoors, Outdoor City USA has quickly established itself on the national scene. In five short months, Outdoor City USA evolved from a few notes on a cocktail napkin to a new industry model for how outdoor enthusiasts engage and interact with the brands they love.
