On Wednesday, September 11, Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) welcomed six employees from First Interstate Bank during the bank’s second annual Commitment to Community Volunteer Day.

VIM had not been updated since the clinic’s opening in 2001, but this has been a year of change and improvements to the clinic. Thanks to the First Interstate Bank employees, VIM got a fresh coat of paint in the breakroom, counseling room and administrative spaces. VIM expressed gratitude for the bank employee’s help.

First Interstate Bank closed all branches at Noon on September 11 so that employees could volunteer from 1-5pm.The bank issued a statement saying, “Giving back to the places we call home is central to our corporate identity at First Interstate. And on September 11, 2019, we put this attitude into action during our second annual Commitment to Community Volunteer Day. At 2,500 employees strong, we hope this collaborative and powerful impact is felt across our footprint.”
