Homegrown Barnwood Furnishings has moved from its previous location on Tumalo Reservoir Road to Rickard Road east of Bend

“Our new shop is larger and more efficient and we now have a separate showroom that we have been busy filling with new inventory of barnwood furniture, wall décor, picture frames and ideas for interior barnwood wainscoting, door and window trim,” said Brent Gourley, owner and operator, who has been involved in the construction industry since the late 70s and started building cabinets and furniture in the early ‘80s.

Homegrown Barnwood Furnishings got its start in Tumalo when it became part of The Ole Tack Room back in 2009 and was located on Seventh and Cook Ave., until the store closed in 2011.   “Shortly after, we moved our product to Open Range Co. in Sisters, and still have pieces there for sale,” noted Gourley, “they are located at 220 Cascade Ave. in the heart of Sisters.“

Homegrown offers custom, one- of-a-kind furniture for your home, office, vacation home, tack room and lodge. “Living room, dining, kitchen and bath cabinets, bedroom and utility storage, there isn’t much that we haven’t built,” says Gourley. “This year we have been coming up with pieces for the Central Oregon hunting and fishing enthusiast with fishing rod holders, gun display racks and ammo storage cabinets.”

A website is currently under construction and for now they can be found on Facebook at Homegrown Barnwood Furnishings. There you can browse albums of their work and stay informed of special pricing on current inventory.   “While a lot of what we build is speculative, our favorite projects are custom orders for clients, taking their ideas and creating something beyond their expectations which brings us repeat business,” concludes Gourley.
