A groundbreaking was held recently for Little Deschutes Lodge Phase 2 in La Pine. The building is a mirror image of Phase 1 of the project completed in 2009.
It’s a two-story, 26,000 square foot, 26 unit apartments, low income senior housing, independent living with a community room and warming kitchen, exercise room, two laundry rooms, reading/recreation room.
The project is a near net zero energy building, using a geothermal mechanical system, photo-voltaic system, solar-thermal system, grey-water reuse system, and the perimeter walls are ICF construction. SunWest Builders is the contractor, designed by BLRB Architects and Pacific Crest Affordable Housing, the developer.
