OSU-Cascades Science Pub Explores Impacts of Climate Change in Central Oregon

At Oregon State University – Cascades’ next Science Pub, OSU climatologist Larry O’Neill will offer predictions on the impact of a changing climate on Central Oregon.

The Science Pub, Climate Change Impacts Around (the) Bend, will be offered via YouTube Live on Thursday, January 28.

O’Neill is an associate professor in the OSU College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences and a member of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute. His research areas include air and sea interactions, satellite meteorology and oceanography. His research collaborations have included work with the American Meteorological Society, Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

O’Neill received a bachelor’s degree in atmospheric sciences from the University of California, Davis, and a Ph.D. in oceanography from OSU. 

The Science Pub is free and will take place from 6-7:30pm and will be streamed live on YouTube.
