Humm Kombucha Hosting Event on Trafficking Awareness

0

On Thursday, September 30, Humm Kombucha Taproom will host an educational and action-oriented event on how to recognize sex trafficking, what to do when you see it and how you can make a difference in this fight both domestically and globally.

Speakers at this live, interactive event will include Andrea Perry, marketing director of Guardian Group, and Shannon Keith, founder and CEO of Sudara.

Child sex trafficking has been reported in all 50 states, including Central Oregon. The buying and selling of people has become the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world.

“We can all fight this atrocity by raising awareness and knowing how to talk to others, including our children,” says Andrea Perry, marketing director of Guardian Group. “More than half of sex trafficking survivors report attending school during their exploitation. It’s imperative that we act now and have conversations with our kids and members of our community.”

This free event is recommended for ages 13 and older, but all are welcome to attend. Space is limited so don’t wait to reserve your seat.

TIME: September 30, 2021, from 4:30-6pm. Presentation will begin at 5pm.

LOCATION: Humm Kombucha Taproom, 1125 NE 2nd Street, Bend OR 97701
