Partners in Care Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Only Hospice House in Community

Partners in Care invite you to be a part of their celebration and witness first hand the comfort, beauty and solace behind this special facility. They welcome your participation in telling the story of how Hospice House became a reality and continues to serve so many grateful families in our region. Public Open House is set for Thursday, August 8, 4-6 pm.

Ten years ago, Central Oregon supported the vision for a hospice in-patient facility where individuals with terminal illnesses could receive highly personalized care that cannot be provided in their home.

Today, Hospice House operates under the banner of Partners in Care—the region’s leader in hospice services and community bereavement programs. Most days, all six suites are in use by patients; their family members gather to make the most of their time together. Hospice House is a peaceful place where the needs of the whole family are met as they go through a tremendously significant time in their lives.

Hospice House is the only healthcare facility in Central Oregon designed exclusively for hospice patients. And is one of only three in Oregon. It was the first regional hospice in Oregon and started as an all-volunteer Friends of Hospice organization.

The intensive symptom management and respite care team is led by Medical Director Lisa Lewis, MD. Services include an on-site pharmacy and rooms are individual, quiet, spacious suites in a home-like setting with garden views. Spiritual care professionals and social workers are an integral part of the care team.

Each day, over 175 people receive care and comfort through hospice services in their home or at Hospice House by Partners In Care.

Partners In Care, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is highlighting the 10th anniversary of its Hospice House to feature the unique and important benefits of this most intensive form of end-of-life care.
