Due to a record-keeping error, Cat Call Production’s Chicago in September 2011 remains the most-highly attended locally-produced community theatre production at the Tower Theatre. Its eight performances reached 3,103 patrons.
Spamalot, produced by Stage Right Production in collaboration with 2nd Street Theater and presented by the Tower Theatre Foundation, had an attendance of 2,765 over six performances, with a record-setting average attendance of 461 per show.
“We regret the error and any misunderstandings this may cause,” said Ray Solley, executive director of the Tower Theatre Foundation. “Yet, all these attendance figures are signs of the vital and growing importance of theatre in Bend. I am looking forward to setting even more attendance records with our presentation of Les Miserables next September,” Solley concluded.
