The Environmental Center’s 25th Anniversary Celebration will take place on October 19. The Kansas Avenue Learning Garden will provide a festive fall setting for the community to gather and celebrate the sustainability movement in Bend. See old friends and make new ones, enjoy vintage memorabilia on display, and win special surprises throughout the evening.
“25 years is a big milestone” says Mike Riley, executive director of The Environmental Center. “We’ll celebrate our accomplishments over the last 25 years and announce some exciting new initiatives for the future.”
The event includes live music by the Doc Ryan Band, food from Broken Top Bottle Shop, cocktails by Spork, beer from Deschutes Brewery, Pacific Northwest wines, and a deluxe adventure raffle for three great prizes: a full season pass to Mt. Bachelor, a boat from Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe, and a weekend getaway in Pacific City.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Environmental Center, a local non-profit organization that works to embed sustainability into daily life in Central Oregon. We help people live, work, play and learn in ways that will ensure a healthy future for people and the planet.
Event sponsors include Pacific Power, Green Savers, SageStone Financial, Capstone CPAs, Central Oregon Radiology, and Miller Lumber, with additional support from Deschutes Brewery and Strictly Organic Coffee.
