October FoodeFlash Card donations help CAN Cancer. 100 percent of donations go to benefit local cancer patients.
Each month, Newport Avenue Market chooses a Charity of the Month for their FoodeFlash Card program. Customers can donate their earned moolah to the charity of the month and this October they are supporting CAN Cancer. Newport Avenue Market has donated over $25,000 in the past year though their charity of the month program.
CAN Cancer was founded by the Central Oregon garbage haulers and the program provides financial assistance to help cover day-to-day living expenses for Central Oregonians fighting all forms of cancer.
Funds raised have helped local families with their utilities, gas cards, rent assistance, hotel stays and grocery cards.
100 percent of the money stays local and 100 percent of the funds raised goes to the patient.
“CAN cancer has provided assistance to over 500 families in Central Oregon but the demand for assistance continues to grow and more help is needed,” Brad Bailey, President of Bend Garbage & Recycling.” “We are thrilled that Newport Avenue Market has chosen CAN Cancer as their Charity of the Month for October. The money raised will go to help a lot of families here in our communities.”
HOW TO DONATE Newport Avenue Market customers can donate their ‘moolah’ from their FoodeFlash Card to CAN Cancer. 100 percent of the donations will go directly to the local cancer patients in need. Or donate online at www.cancancer.org. Donations to CAN Cancer are tax deductible.
