What’s in a Name Change? Delicious Corruption

0

Bend D’Vine owners David Kalov and Jolie Fiore are rebranding their restaurant. The new moniker—Chocolate Element—reflects more than just a name change. Kalov and Fiore have turned their passions for chocolate and wine into their restaurant’s new identity. Their tag line says it all: Corrupting You Deliciously.

“Life’s too short to not enjoy true pleasures,” says Kalov.“Our high quality artisan chocolates, paired with our hand-selected wine, provide you with tastes and flavors that luxuriously resonate with your senses.”Indulgence begins with chocolate for Kalov and Fiore, who believe that it should always be on the menu. But truly great chocolate can be hard to find.

That seemed like a sin to Kalov, an admitted chocoholic with a discerning palate who is married to equally discriminating chocolate fan and wine enthusiast Fiore. So Kalov studied the art of chocolate making and start formulating a line of handmade artisan truffles and bonbons that are as healthy as they are sinfully good.

For starters, Kalov uses only premium chocolate and high-quality extracts for flavorings in the small batches he makes. As opposed to other chocolates, his have no added sugar, corn syrup, preservatives or waxes. Chocolate Element’s chocolates are also gluten free, vegan and dairy free, except for the milk chocolates and truffles.Notwithstanding the restaurant’s new name, chocolate is just the start.

Chocolate Element features carefully selected wines from the Willamette Valley and the Northwest, as well as from the Old World and New World. The eatery’s wine collection includes an extensive selection of Oregon Pinot Noirs available by the bottle, the glass or the taste. See a bottle you like in the store? They’ll pour it for you without adding on a corkage fee. You can even couple the Old World with the New World and enjoy a wine tasting flight of your choice.

Dessert wines, ports and chocolate wines are available by the glass or in customized flights of three. Chocolate Element also features an array of martinis, cocktails, specialty and seasonal drinks. Beers, ciders and coffee round the drink menus.

Chocolate Element doesn’t just corrupt you deliciously with chocolate and drink. Relax in their friendly atmosphere and enjoy their Mediterranean-influenced lunch, dinner & appetizers. After dinner—or before—indulge in their house-made desserts, which include chocolate lava cakes and chocolate fondue, both made with Chocolate Element’s signature delightfully healthy chocolate.
