The first of the community open houses planned by Oregon State University – Cascades will take place December 12 from 6-8pm and December 13 from 12-1:30pm.
The open houses will address its expansion on Bend’s west side to meet local and state education and economic goals. The presentation portion will include expansion steps undertaken to date and the master planning process.
Community members are invited to provide input on expectations for the new campus, and opportunities and concerns. Attendees will also have an opportunity to comment on design themes and their relation to community values. As OSU-Cascades continues the expansion process over the next two years, the quarterly open houses will be held throughout the greater Bend area.
The meetings will each be offered at midday and in the evening to accommodate varying schedules. The upcoming meetings will take place in Cascades Hall on College Way on the COCC campus. Meeting materials will be posted on www.osucascades.edu/4.
Subsequent community open houses will take place in February, May, September and December of 2014.
