The results of Sunset Magazine’s prestigious 2022 Sunset Travel Awards were recently announced, and five Central Oregon businesses were among the winners chosen from more than 300 entries. As part of the award designation, which appears online and in the magazine’s fall issue, the five Central Oregon businesses were recognized in the Best Outdoor Activities, Best Basecamps and Rad Ranches categories.
Among them, Imperial River Co. and Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe won in the Best Outdoor Activities category, Oasis Cabin Resort and SCP Redmond Hotel won in the Best Basecamps category, and Brasada Ranch won in the Rad Ranches category.

The Sunset selection committee chose Central Oregon and the five recognized businesses from a pool of entrants — the largest to date with well over 300, including two dozen entries submitted by Visit Central Oregon on behalf of its regional tourism partners.
In addition to extensive online coverage, Imperial River Co., Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe, Oasis Cabin Resort, SCP Redmond Hotel and Brasada Ranch will be celebrated in the October–November print issue, as well as on Sunset.com and in Sunset Magazine’s second annual Travel Directory.
