Etrix Group in Bend Sets the Stage for Launching First Energy Saving DC Microgrid Products & LED Lighting Products

With energy costs continuing to rise on a global level Etrix Group is ready to manufacture its first money saving DC microgrid products which will be used  to power next generation LED lighting to replace florescent tubes in office space, hospitals and universities.

Bob Bryson, owner and CEO, founded Bryson Communications in 2004 and later rebranded his company into Etrix Group to focus on advanced electronic hardware systems and designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). His company has  provided comprehensive design services, helping sixteen local high tech companies with their research and development programs. Bryson comments, “Services in technology and product development with an emphasis on turnkey electronic hardware, firmware and custom enclosure design is what has enabled us to assemble and polish a well rounded team.”

This year will mark the beginning for Etrix to sell its first power saving LED and microgrid products. “Etrix is now focusing on launching our own products,” explains Bryson.”Our flagship product line centers around a 2′ x 4′ light that glows uniformly at high intensity and is thinner than the acoustic ceiling tile which it typicality set adjacent to in the ceiling space. Edge lit LED panels provide a much higher quality of light than florescent tubes and consume 65 percent the power at full brightness. Unique control systems allow computer, tablet or phone enabled control and monitoring. High efficiency DC power conversion products coupled with proprietary sensing and control technologies are at the heart of the system.”

Etrix Group has assembled a strong team that represents decades of combined experience with backgrounds in aviation and green technology. Bryson says, “We have experience that includes designing high reliability products for use in harsh environments, commercial power products and production test equipment. Many of our designs have been used in solar power, aviation and the medical markets. We also have experience in precision instrumentation, digital wireless (CDMA technology) infrastructure, and developing products for high volume markets where minimizing manufacturing costs is imperative.”

With energy technology companies striving to improve on every aspect of energy consumption developing new cost efficient systems is driving the market with innovative systems to reduce the carbon impact. One such technology is the development of microgrids that reduce the costs significantly where LED and consumer products are concerned. Bryson explains, “A microgrid allows power distribution within a facility or campus that may operate independently of the utility grid.  Our direct current approach allows an average 22 percent increase in efficiency when operating from renewable sources or battery power.

Utility systems realize an average 15 percent efficiency increase by the use of high efficiency power supplies in place of consumer level power adapters that are in use today. As the economy continues to rebound new product innovation will increase with an associated need for innovative design solutions which Etrix provides.”

With Central Oregon on the map to be a UAV drone research area Etrix sees another opportunity for research and product development. Bryson says, “High tech advancement in our region during the last decade along with the recent addition of a UAV test area allows our region to offer significant advancements to system integrators and platform developers. Deployment of advanced sensors, processing and communications will play a key role in realizing the full potential.”

“Etrix Group prides itself in being able to work with customers the way they like and in the manner they need,” offers Bryson. “Our services have ranged from complete product designs and prototype-quantity manufacturing to modifying and refining existing products. We are happy to work with clients as needed, and pride ourselves in rapid turnaround, efficiency and customer service. Etrix represents a creative and talented pool of engineering experience comprising long histories of successful design, manufacturing, and marketing accomplishments.”
