Pitching Company Spotlight: Trail Butter
Trail Butter was conceived during a ten-month bicycle tour from Germany to the coast of California. Along the journey, CEO and Co-founder Jeff Boggess melded bags and jars of nuts, honey, dried fruit, and peanut butter together to save space. Upon returning to the States, Jeff and his brother began selling their product by bike at local farmer’s markets in Portland. Little by little, Trail Butter became known by athletes and food lovers alike for its all-natural goodness, and went from the bike to the shelves of places like Whole Foods Market. Today they have established international distribution and are available in Japan, Europe and Canada. Trail Butter provides balanced, slow-burning energy in a convenient, portable package using only unprocessed, whole food ingredients. It can be eaten straight out of the package or combined in a tortilla with banana for a sustaining meal on the trail.
