The Central Oregon Food Policy Council has updated its name to High Desert Food and Farm Alliance (HDFFA,. The regional non-profit has undergone a total brand update and will officially unveil its new brand to the public on Thursday, May 15, 5-7pm with drinks and local acoustic band, Extra Blue, at the Humm Kombucha tasting room at 1125 NE 2nd Street in Bend.
The new brand identity reflects HDFFA’s commitment to providing the very best resources and services in Central Oregon to address the region’s food needs. Major changes have been made to the group’s logo to reflect its current image and audience. The new website will increase HDFFA’s online presence and help communicate with the community in a much larger way.
After a competitive pitch process, two local agencies were chosen to lead the rebrand activities and work alongside HDFFA’s team. Web Design and SEO specialist Christine Valdez will rebuild and re-launch the website to help HDFFA increase its digital marketing activity and online presence. Ben Miosi worked closely with HDFFA staff to develop the new logo and build a brand identity that reflects HDFFA’s core values and future strategy.
This year the HDFFA will begin an innovative program in partnership with the Oregon Food Bank to provide two five-week long food skills education courses to low-income participants about gardening and cooking simple and inexpensive recipes with healthy foods. They are also initiating new programs focused on improving the donation of food from businesses and from individual gardeners to local non-profits who feed the hungry.
