Constitution Week is coming up September 17-23, 2023. Our local Bend Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has reached out to our cities, schools and libraries requesting a resolution to adopt the Constitution Week Proclamation.
Government entities that have adopted and presented — or will present — the Constitution Week Proclamation:
- City of Redmond (Presented) August 22, 2023 (see City of Redmond Proclamation and wixstudio.io/dar-cw-2023/constitution-week-redmond)
- Redmond School District— Adopted and presented at the RSD School Board Meeting August 23, 2023
- City of Bend— To be presented at the Bend City Council Meeting September 6, 2023
- City of Prineville— To be presented at the Prineville City Council Meeting September 12, 2023 — Display will be in the Crook County Public Library during Constitution Week.
- City of Madras— To be presented at the Madras City Council Meeting September 12, 2023 — “Bells Across America” event to be held at the Jefferson Public Library during Constitution Week, as well as a display.
Other entities that have yet to adopt the CW Proclamation but have been contacted and we anticipate their resolution to adopt:
- City of La Pine, Sisters
- Deschutes County Public Library
- Bend-La Pine Schools
- Crook County Schools
- Jefferson County Schools
