Psilocybin Treatment 101: What it is and what it means for Bend
September 21 | 11:30am-1pm
Tetherow Resort
Join the City Club of Central Oregon for a discussion about how psilocybin treatment can be and will be offered in Oregon. Beyond the hype of legalized magic mushrooms and psychedelic retreats, is a complex and highly regulated system of integrated mental health care. Bend will be on the forefront of this movement with some of the first treatment centers and a burgeoning new industry in our economy. Learn and discuss the history of how psilocybin became legal as a therapeutic modality, how the system is (and isn’t) working and what this all means in practice.
Panelists:
Amanda Gow, Founder at Bendable Therapy
Dr. Paul Choi, MD, Board Certified Psychiatrist, Neurologist
Moderated by:
Morgan Schmitt, Executive Director, Central & Eastern Oregon Chapter of American Red Cross Cascades Region
