Step & Spine Physical Therapy’s to Move, Expand Redmond Clinic

Owners of Step & Spine Physical Therapy, a fastest growing independent physical therapy practice in Central Oregon, announced plans to move their Redmond clinic to a larger location in order to accommodate an increased demand in their services.

According to co-owner and lead physical therapist Barrett Ford, PT, Step & Spine Physical Therapy will have nearly tripled its clinic and treatment space when it officially opens the doors to its new facility on Monday, Aug. 18. The 4,100-square-foot facility will be located at 974 Veterans Way in Redmond – in a commercial complex adjacent to Fred Meyer’s west parking lot.

The move comes just shy of two years from the day Step & Spine Physical Therapy first opened its Redmond clinic in September of 2012.

“I remember looking when we first moved into the Redmond clinic and thinking, ‘This will definitely be plenty big moving forward,’” Ford said of that nearly 1,500-square-foot facility from which he plans to move. “Our core concept has been both treating and educating our patients well, and that’s paid off for us – so much so that we needed a larger place.”

Step & Spine Physical Therapy’s expanded Redmond clinic will feature six private treatment rooms, a group fitness and therapy area, and expanded office space.

Barrett Ford and his wife, Jodi, founded Step & Spine Physical Therapy in 2010 when they opened a small, 200-square-foot facility in Sisters. The establishment of their second clinic in Redmond two years later was quickly followed by the opening of an expanded, 2,100-square-foot Sisters facility during the spring of 2013. Ford says plans are in the works for the establishment of a third Step & Spine Physical Therapy location in Bend’s NorthWest Crossing neighborhood next spring.

“When I started Step & Spine, I knew I wanted to eventually move into both Redmond and Bend,” said Barrett Ford. “By the grace of God, things have started to come together. Our patients, happy with the care they’ve gotten from us, have been really good at referring friends and family, and local physicians have been responsive to the quality of care we give here.”

Five full-time licensed physical therapists currently practice at Step & Spine Physical Therapy: Ford; Wes Rau, PT, MTC; Glenn MacLean-Talbot, BS, MSPT, DPT; Peter Schrey, DPT, OCS, CSCS; and Jessie Stevens, DPT, MTC. Ford says he anticipates further increasing the size of his staff to accommodate future growth and expansion.
