The Bend City Council has four positions that will be placed on the ballot for the November 2024 election.
Bend residents interested in being elected in November to serve on the City Council can file now through August 27, 2024. Detailed information and nomination forms are available on the City’s website.
Candidates must reside within the city limits of Bend for at least one year prior to taking office and be a registered voter.
Individuals elected to a seat on the City Council will begin serving January 2025.
Candidates can expect to meet in the Council capacity at least four nights each month. Councilors automatically sit on the Bend Urban Renewal Agency Board, serve on the Budget Committee, and participate in other local and regional committees. Candidates elected to a Councilor position in the November 2024 election will receive an annual $30,000 stipend, health benefits, and an annual $3,000 health and wellness stipend.
