The City of La Pine will be distributing the request for proposal to general contractors for the construction of an incubator building later this fall. This project will target businesses that may lack the necessary management, technical and financial capacity to run a small business effectively. The interest level is great based on attendance at the informational meeting held with general contractors. If you are interested in bidding on the project, be on the lookout for the request for proposal to be published in the Daily Journal of Commerce, the Bend Bulletin, and on the City of La Pine website.

The following services will be provided to tenants in the incubator:

  • Technical assistance for starting a business – organization, hiring, etc.
  • Individualized business counseling in collaboration with the Central Oregon Community College Small Business Development Center.
  • Business plan assistance.
  • Guidance with financing for start-up and growth.
  • Collaboration with the innovation hub at OSU-Cascades.
  • Mentoring from the Economic Development for Central Oregon Venture Catalyst on concept, critical expertise, strategy, and more.
  • Advice and assistance on marketing, export opportunities, government procurement, and workforce development.
  • Access to potential investors and partners.

If you know an entrepreneur or traded sector business that would benefit from these services, contact Patricia Lucas, Executive Director of the Sunriver/La Pine Economic Development Program, at 248-693-3049 or sledexecutivedirector@gmail.com.
