We are rolling into our 36th year of serving Central Oregon with a big emphasis on community-first programming and continuing our commitment to our mission: To embed sustainability into daily life in Central Oregon. We invite you to join us in whatever way fits for you. Whether it is attending our events, volunteering, becoming a regular donor, or sharing something you are working on with us!  Explore the additional ways you can get involved through our programs, and the Hub and learn more about our January events below.

MountainFilm on Tour 2025 Tickets are live!

Now in our 22nd year of hosting, Mountainfilm has become an essential part of our annual calendar, serving as our only fundraiser while bringing joy and inspiration year after year. If you haven’t joined us in the past, Mountainfilm on Tour is a documentary film festival that showcases stories about important environmental, cultural, political, and social justice issues.

This year, both evenings feature particularly exciting lineups of films that will spark your imagination and leave you feeling inspired! You can look forward to stories from around the world, including a Chilean mycologist, a Lakota horse relay team, and a group of young women from Afghanistan who pursued their passion for climbing and mountaineering despite facing serious risks. There’s even a story about the Ugandan Quidditch Movement!

This year’s shows will be at the Tower Theatre in Bend, on February 21 and February 22!  Check out the films on our website here!

Friday, February 21 at 7pm at the Tower Theatre (doors open at 6pm)

Saturday, February 22 at 7pm at the Tower Theatre (doors open at 6pm)

Tickets for Friday and Saturday night can be found on Tower Theatre’s website.

A Community Focused 2025

January can be a funny month as the weather starts to get colder and we wrap up the busy bustle of holiday events and travel. As Central Oregon gets quieter after the holiday rush dies down, we hope you’ll join us as we lean into gathering and connecting and host community-focused sustainability programs. We have a little something for everyone this month.

Tomorrow, we have our Home Energy Assessment Workshop in Redmond. Thursday we host our January Green Drinks event a movie screening of screening of Footprints on Katmai a film that focuses on Ocean plastic and marine debris in Alaska. Later this month, we cohost a Repair Cafe event at Gear Fix. Our incredible fixer volunteers are ready to help you repair that item you have been meaning to fix! We hope you will join us for one of our events or check out one of our partner events on our Community Calendar.
