Russell Authur, CTO and Co-Founder

Russell Authur is a technologist, AI engineer and entrepreneur. Russell is the CTO and Co-Founder of Health Elements AI, which he spun out of the Paul Allen Institute of AI to make high-quality healthcare more accessible and affordable. Health Elements AI automates the abstraction of health data from the electronic health records using cutting-edge LLMs, supporting important quality improvement processes while alleviating a massive data entry burden. Previously, Russell was an AI engineer at the Paul Allen Institute for AI (AI2), where he worked on the Semantic Scholar project and Olmo, an open-sourced LLM. Prior to AI2, Russell worked as an AI engineer at Amazon and was CTO of Q-Centrix, where he built the platform used to scale to a market-leading position in the quality data abstraction space.
