A Walk to Support our Stroke Community

0

Stroke Awareness Oregon is gearing up for an exciting event in collaboration with our entire Central Oregon community and all are invited!

This is Stroke Awareness Oregon’s first Walk-n-Wheel fundraiser and the excitement is contagious. The event is opened up to families, businesses, and of course stroke survivors! Whether you’re in a wheelchair, running in top of the line shoes, or taking a casual walk – All endeavors are going to help our organization bring awareness to stroke and provide financial support to our educational impact in the Central Oregon Community.

On Saturday, October 22, join the impact at Trinity Lutheran School from 1-4pm. Registration is now open and participants have the opportunity to create a team, join a team, register individually or sponsor teams at the event! strokeawarenessoregon.org/walk-n-wheel-athon.

About Stroke Awareness Oregon:
Stroke Awareness Oregon’s goals are to educate the community on how to recognize stroke, make F.A.S.T. a household word, develop resources and support for stroke patients and their families, and increase awareness about stroke prevention.  Every four seconds someone experiences a stroke in the United States. Every four minutes someone dies from a stroke, making stroke the fourth leading killer in Oregon. Stroke Awareness Oregon raises awareness about stroke prevention through PSAs and distribution of postcards and posters. Stroke is the leading cause of disability in the world, but rapid diagnosis and treatment make a difference.
