Join our esteemed panel of Cory Allen of Washington Trust Bank, Julie Harrelson of Cascade Seed Fund, and Jeff Carmody of Agility Capital as we explore all financial angles to power your organization for growth.

Meet Our Panelists

Cory J. Allen — Washington Trust Bank

Allen is a senior vice president and team leader responsible for managing Washington Trust’s Central Oregon commercial banking portfolios and branch leadership. He offers over 17 years of commercial banking experience in the Central Oregon region specializing in underwriting complex, customized credit structures, business development and career development. As a team leader, Allen is committed to building Washington Trust’s Central Oregon presence, developing and managing a team of dedicated banking professionals and ensuring each client is given an exceptional level of service.

Allen earned a bachelor of science in business management from Oregon State University and a graduate certificate from the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Julie Harrelson — Cascade Seed Fund

Harrelson has 30 years of experience as an investor, founder, sales executive and consultant. She is managing director of eight funds and an investor in 75 startups as well as a founder and executive in six early stage companies. She launched Cascade Seed Fund with Robert Pease in 2019 having founded the previous Cascade funds.

Harrelson was previously a tech executive in multiple companies variously acquired by Earthlink, Time Warner and others. Following an exit from a telecommunications startup, she worked as a trusted advisor and investor with regional entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 companies, as well as leaders of global change efforts in healthcare, education and sustainability before starting Cascade.

When not on the road on behalf of the fund, Harrelson can be found at the Oregon Coast.

Jeff Carmody – Agility Capital

For over 20 years, Carmody has actively supported entrepreneurs and the companies they create through his founding role at Agility Capital and through his extensive voluntary efforts in the emerging growth business support network throughout Southern California. He is a graduate of UCSB and is most proud of his accomplishments as a loving husband and father of two adult sons.

Carmody originates, structures, performs due diligence and manages credits in the Agility portfolio. His extensive background in venture debt financing originates through his years of experience at Sand Hill Capital and continues through his current managing role at Agility Capital, with over 150 debt successful financings under his watch. Carmody is a founding member of the Santa Barbara Angel Alliance and was a founding member of the Central Coast Chapter of the Tech Coast Angels, both southern California-based angel investment capital groups. He has been a member of the Board of Directors at the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Central Coast and has chaired the Advisory Committee for the Technology Council for the Santa Barbara Region Chamber of Commerce. He has also been an active member of the Nominating Committee for the South Coast Business & Technology Awards Dinner, and is a panelist and judge at many business plan competitions. His passion for the environment and concern for climate change pushed him to become an active member of the Board of Trustees of the Community Environmental Council, where he chaired the Finance Committee and participated in numerous advanced technology projects.
