Bend Golf Club kicks off its centennial year with a glamorous Roaring 20’s celebration on the club’s official birthday, January 29, from 5:30-9:30pm. This member-exclusive event promises an unforgettable evening of music, nostalgia, and fun as we honor a century of camaraderie and excellence.
The night will feature sensational live entertainment by the 17-piece big band, The Prohibition All-Stars, who will transport attendees back to the jazz age with their lively performance. Members have been preparing to dance the night away with the help of recent lessons from Dance with Travis Dance Studio, located in Bend. Guests can capture the moment at a themed photo booth provided by the Bend Photobooth Company and enjoy the dazzling “100” year lights created by Bend Letter Lights LLC. A highlight of the evening will be the unveiling of a stunning 100-year coffee table book, a heartfelt project created by two longtime members, celebrating the club’s rich history.
“This milestone is not just about looking back; it’s also about embracing the future,” said Bevan Nicolaisen, membership director. “We are thrilled to celebrate with our members and look forward to sharing even more exciting events throughout the year.”
Centennial Celebrations Continue All Year Long
The festivities won’t end with the January 29 celebration. Members can look forward to a spectacular Centennial Week from July 7-12 featuring social gatherings, family- friendly events, live music, and a variety of golf activities—including a special hickory golf tournament on the original nine holes of the course.
Bend Golf Club is also honored to collaborate with Deschutes Historical Museum this spring, where the club will be showcased in a dedicated display celebrating its history. Museum Manager Vanessa Ivey will host a fireside chat at the club in April, offering insights into the history of both Bend and Bend Golf Club. Dates for the museum display will be announced soon.
A Legacy of Excellence and Recognition
Bend Golf Club’s reputation as a premier golfing destination continues to shine through its ongoing partnership with the USGA. Last year, the club proudly hosted the Final Qualifier of the U.S. Amateur Championship. This year, on May 19, we will host the Final Qualifier for the Men’s U.S. Senior Open. These prestigious events underscore the exceptional caliber of our course and the dedication of our community.
Adding to our accolades, Bend Golf Club was recognized as the Best Golf Course in Central Oregon by the Bend Bulletin Choice Awards in both 2023 and 2024. These honors reflect the club’s unwavering commitment to providing an outstanding experience for members and visitors alike.
