Summer may be fading into the distance, but for one Bend company, summer 2019 is just around the corner.
Bend-based Big Mountain Heli Tours is growing with the launch of its new outdoor Adventure Tent Trailer rental business called Big Mountain Adventures. CEO Patric Douglas says he saw the market need, “Bend enjoys 3.5 million yearly visitors, many come here to camp in the wilderness and like me are too old to sleep in the dirt, yet too young to own a giant RV, so we’re filling that void with Adventure Tent Trailer rentals.”
Adventure Tent Trailers come from Bend-based Freespirit Recreation and offer the best night’s sleep in the outdoors with luxury above ground Glamping tents mounted to rugged and spacious Manley trailers. Big Mountain Adventures provides one-stop camping equipment including a gourmet cooking kitchen, glasswear, camp lighting, chairs and a complete list of incredible, local, out of the way adventures in Central Oregon to go explore.
“Renters come from far and wide,” says Douglas, “with primary markets in Seattle, Portland, Northern California Bay Area and even Norway,” as he discovered earlier this month. “We launched the site on November 5 and had our first booking on November 7…from Norway!”
The growing trend of Glamping (luxury camping) recently moved to Central Oregon offering travelers and campers new choices for exploring Oregon and beyond this year. Big Mountain Adventures has expansion plans for two rental locations in Bend and Portland later this spring.
Says Douglas, “There are too many exciting and remote adventures to be had here in Oregon, now you can explore them all in confidence and in style.”
