The Bend Women’s Expo is returning for 2023, bringing together local businesses, organizations and community members to celebrate and empower women in the area. The expo will take place at the Convention Center at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes on April 8, from 10am-5pm and will feature a wide range of workshops, demonstrations and exhibitors.

Lay It Out Events is pleased to add another local community event to its 2023 lineup.

“The Bend Women’s Expo is a chance for women in the community to come together, learn and be inspired,” said Lesley Gimeno, event coordinator. “We are thrilled to be able to partner with Jennifer Rychlick, one of the original organizers, to bring this event to the community in 2023. We can’t wait to see everyone there.”

The Bend Women’s Expo is a one-day event featuring a variety of vendors and exhibitors, offering products and services that cater to women’s needs and interests.

From health and wellness to fashion and beauty, there will be something for everyone at the Bend Women’s Expo. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop, learn and connect with like-minded women in their community.

Vendor applications are open now for businesses looking to participate.

Tickets for the expo can be purchased in advance or at the door. A portion of proceeds will benefit In Our Backyard, a local nonprofit dedicated to anti-trafficking awareness and missing children outreach across America.

The Executive Director, Cheryl Csiky, a child sex trafficking survivor, motivates all sized communities, “Traffickers in plain sight target small towns. Any sized town with access to the internet has an opportunity to prevent human trafficking.”

Thousands of volunteers have joined the mission by posting the National Human Trafficking Hotline listed on IN OUR BACKYARD Freedom Stickers to save lives. Multiple recoveries have been documented because someone victimized by a trafficker saw a Freedom Sticker and reached out for help.
