Chiloquin Visions in Progress Unveils Five-Year Strategic Plan under New Leadership

Chiloquin Visions in Progress (CVIP) has announced the adoption of its comprehensive five-year strategic plan, a comprehensive roadmap for the organization’s future. Under the guidance of the newly appointed Executive Director, Robert Cowie, CVIP is set to embark on a transformative journey that aligns with its steadfast commitment to serving and uplifting the Chiloquin community.

By fostering and strengthening these relationships, CVIP seeks to enhance collaborative efforts for the advancement of the community.

“Last year the CVIP board of directors completed an organizational self-assessment,” said John Rademacher, CVIP president. “We then interviewed three quality applicants to replace retiring executive director Bill Wilkins. Cowie was chosen due to his background expertise, his knowledge of our organization’s strengths and weaknesses, and his commitment to the continued progress of the Chiloquin community.”

Cowie, alongside his wife Kimberly, became residents of Chiloquin in 2017, bringing with them a wealth of experience and a commitment to community development. Cowie has over two decades of invaluable experience, previously serving at Sony Electronics in various capacities, including VP of Customer Insight, Director of Engineering, and program management. In November 2020, Cowie was elected to the Chiloquin City Council, further solidifying his commitment to the local community. Additionally, he serves as a board member of the League of Oregon Cities (LOC).

“I am thrilled to take on the role of executive director at CVIP,” Cowie said. “Together with the dedicated team and the Chiloquin community, we will work towards realizing the goals outlined in our five-year strategic plan.”
