The City Club of Central Oregon is pleased to announce its upcoming event, “What is on the Horizon for Oregon Election Reforms,” scheduled for February 15, 2024. This engaging and informative discussion will take place at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon starting at 11:30am.

Dr. Jim Moore, Independent Analyst and Political Outreach director at Pacific University Tom McCall Center for Civic Engagement will discuss proposed change movements Oregonians may be voting in in fall 2024. They include Campaign Finance Reform, Independent Redistricting, Open Primaries and Ranked Choice Voting. We will explore what is different about the Oregon election system, review the initiatives being proposed and what they could mean for future Oregon elections.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, allowing for a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives.

“We are excited to host this critical conversation on the future of election reforms in Oregon,” said Kim Gammond, executive director at City Club of Oregon. “Our aim is to provide a platform for meaningful discussions and insights that will contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding the democratic processes in our state.”

Registration for the event is now open, and interested individuals can secure their spot by visiting cityclubco.org.
