As of January 1, Club Pilates Bend is under new ownership. To celebrate, the studio is having a grand re-opening event February 13-19. The week-long event will include a different theme every day; specials promotions; free intro classes; a week of raffles, prizes and giveaways; member appreciation; and a community event.

With the previous owner living out of state, new owner Amy Cox believes shifting to a local owner allows for more community building, a deep knowledge of its members and a more authentic Bend feel. “The decision to become the new Club Pilates Bend owner was an easy one,” Cox said. “Pilates has been a passion of mine for most of my life and is something that has supported me through all of life’s adventures. I mean it when I say I could not live without it.”

Club Pilates Bend opened four years ago, and Cox started as a founding member of the studio from day one of opening. “I have been with this studio through opening, the pandemic, all of the different lockdowns and mask mandates and now through the transition of me taking over.

“I started my journey with this brand in June 2019 as a founding member of the studio and soon after started training to become a certified Pilates instructor,” Cox explains. “I have spent every spare minute over the last two years working with our studio members to become stronger, healthier and happier people. Like many people in Bend, I am a transplant and moved from south Louisiana in 2018. The Bend community has welcomed me with open arms and offered me so many joys that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. This studio not only provided an outlet for me to continue exploring my passion but it also provided a hub of support.”

Cox, a certified instructor for the studio, has taught over 600 classes at Club Pilates alone. She became certified during the pandemic and also taught classes during that time. “I have a background in business, technology and marketing,” she continued. “While Pilates and the studio are a huge passion of mine, I still work full time at Cisco Systems in Global Marketing. My ten-plus years of experience in these fields will serve the studio well.

“Becoming the new studio owner enables me to give back to a community that has given me so much,” Cox said. “I am humbled by the opportunity to provide the same haven for the Bend community that I have had. The relationships I have built with our studio members is the sole reason I am committed to this studio, this brand and this community.”
