Join the Latino Community Association (LCA) for great Mexican food, an inspiring immigrant success story and the opportunity to strengthen local Latino families at the 11th annual Empowering Families Luncheon. You can meet LCA staff, board members and people who benefit from its services. Listen to Beatriz Escobedo of Redmond describe her journey from young immigrant through almost 30 years of restaurant work to a new role serving her community as an LCA health insurance enrollment specialist. Then open your heart and wallet to help empower Latino families throughout Central Oregon.
Co-hosting the event with LCA are the social justice committee of the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon and the Immigration Solidarity Network (ISN).
Hola! Restaurant will cater the event from 11:30am to 1pm on Thursday, December 5, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 61980 Skyline Ranch Road in Bend. Cost is $10 per person.
