Eurosports Expands & Helps to Revitalize Sisters

Cruising into their 25th anniversary this November, Eurosports in Sisters has rolled down the block to a new location inside a restored 1935 ranch house recently vacated by Sage Antiques.

Featuring bicycles, ski equipment, athletic shoes, sportswear and all-season outdoor gear, owner Brad Boyd is thrilled with the new property at the corner of Hood Avenue and Fir Street after years of leasing their original spot. To amplify his enthusiasm at this juncture, Boyd has also purchased the property, opening up an entire roster of additional services and offerings for a bright future.

“It was one of those deals where we had the opportunity to buy the home and land this spring, so we did,” Boyd said. “And we couldn’t be happier or more excited. This was a fixer upper for sure. We re-did the plumbing and foundation work, had a new ADA bathroom installed and refinished all the floors, put in new exterior windows and doors, built a fence around the outside so we could have a nice beer garden and got our liquor license.”

Taking advantage of the additional room and outdoor patio, Boyd has outfitted the yard with brightly colored tables and umbrellas amid a healthy array of mountain bikes, city cruisers and road bikes. And for the thirsty athletic crowd, Eurosports now serves six beers on tap, from Boneyard, Ninkasi, Goodlife Brewing Company, Two Town Cider House and more. They also offer regional wines, assorted juices, sports drinks and bottled water.

“I love the location. First of all, I’ve been in Sisters for 24 years and have built up a sizeable customer base. I wanted to stay where they can find us. We’re on the same intersection as before, which is amazing. We found the visibility of this location is much better than the other one and with all our outdoor space it’s much more welcoming.”

Boyd believes this allows Eurosports to help revitalize the downtown area and make it more appealing to a younger crowd.

“The response so far has been incredible. We’re trying to make a really cool place to come hang out in. It’s about giving people a well-priced, relaxed atmosphere.”

Eurosports delivers a thorough selection of Specialized mountain bikes, as well as helmets, gloves, tire pumps, cycling shorts and jerseys, disc golf supplies, tools, logo wear, sunglasses and seasonal bike rentals and repairs.

“I think the outdoor space and the layout of the place really lends itself to more of a natural gathering space,” said Boyd. “Our whole side yard is a beer garden, creating an inviting post-ride meeting spot or comfortable recreational hangout. We’re interested in getting some food carts in here soon and we’d love to get a variety of vendors that offer completely different categories of food than what Sisters currently serves.”

This fall, Eurosports will celebrate their milestone 25th anniversary and plans on marking the occasion in style.

“We’re going to have a big party here at our new home. I think we’re going to do a fun celebration during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We’ll have special beer tastings from an assortment of breweries and showcase some ski and bike vendors too. We’re grateful for the 25 years we’ve had and want to give back to the community.”
