This year’s St. Vincent de Paul Have a Heart Dinner activities are geared to have fun and entertainment at Bend’s best hotspot, the ELK’s Club.

February 27 benefit features a marvelous Greek Kabob dinner with all the trimmings. A wine and beer tasting section featuring local brewery favorites, a 50/50 raffle and a great silent auction with oil paintings and golf packages from Brasada, Tetherow and Widgi Creek golf courses and a weekend getaway for two at Sunriver Resort. To top it all off you can dance to one of Bend’s best easy rock band, Out of the Blue.

Since 1982, St. Vincent de Paul has been there helping people in our community and around the world for that fact establishing themselves as one of the premier sustainable organizations helping people who go through hard times.

”Everyone in our society has a period in their life where things just seem to fall apart,” says Jeff Rickman executive director for St. Vinnies.

“Unemployment, eviction, divorce, suicide, homelessness, medical issues and on it goes…that’s why our mission is to help people whenever we can and we have some of the most compassionate volunteers in the universe who have been here for a long time.”

“We expect a sell-out crowd this year, so people should buy their tickets early for this event. We’ve been growing steadily since we started this event and it’s just wonderful to see how much support the people of Bend help our charity, really it’s quite fantastic,” said Rickman.
