As local nonprofits face growing needs and tighter resources, Deschutes Children’s Foundation (DCF) invites our community to remember that something as simple as where you hold your meetings can make a real and lasting impact.

By hosting meetings, trainings, retreats and community gatherings in one of DCF’s four campus community rooms, local businesses and organizations directly support the nonprofit partners caring for children and families across Central Oregon.

DCF’s mission is simple yet powerful: to provide the space and support nonprofits need to help children and families thrive. Each year, DCF campuses serve approximately 19,000 individuals, nearly one in ten Deschutes County residents, by offering space, facility management and collaborative support to more than 23 nonprofit partners.

“As community needs grow, our mission is more important than ever,” said Cassi MacQueen, executive director of Deschutes Children’s Foundation. “Our nonprofit partners rely on us to keep their spaces safe, functional and affordable so they can focus on delivering critical services. When the community chooses to meet at DCF, they become part of that impact.”

Four Campuses. One Shared Mission.

Deschutes Children’s Foundation offers four community meeting spaces across Central Oregon designed to foster collaboration while directly supporting local nonprofits:

  • East Bend Campus Community Room (up to 40 guests) – Flexible space for meetings, trainings and community gatherings.
  • Becky Johnson Community Center – Redmond (up to 40 guests) – Centrally located room serving North County partners and events.
  • Rosie Bareis Community Campus – Bend (up to 60 guests) – DCF’s largest meeting and conference space, ideal for workshops and larger trainings.
  • La Pine Community Campus (up to 8 guests) – A vital hub for South County childcare resources and community connection.

Why It Matters

Choosing DCF for offsite meetings, board retreats, or workshops does more than reserve a room, it strengthens the nonprofit ecosystem.

Meeting rental revenue is reinvested into campus operations, ensuring partner nonprofits have safe, professional and affordable space to deliver critical services. It keeps dollars local, supports collaboration and helps sustain programs ranging from child abuse prevention and mental health support to housing assistance, childcare, education and family stabilization.

“The community relies on our nonprofit partners. And our nonprofit partners rely on us,” MacQueen added. “Hosting your meeting at DCF is a simple, tangible way to stand behind the children and families of Central Oregon.”
