Wednesday, June 21 at 4:50-5pm, kids ages 2-8 years old are encouraged to do one lap on the criterium course! It’s free and each participant will receive a retro Cascade Cycling Classic water bottle. Any non-electric bike or trike will work. Must have a helmet and have a parent waiver signed. Parents can sign the waiver under the OBRA tent in the parking lot at Pacific Crest Middle School, Bend.
New, local nonprofit, the Horner Cycling Foundation will reintroduce a favorite series among Central Oregon road racers beginning June 21 and ending July 19. The five-week series will take place around Pacific Crest Middle School and utilize the same course that former promoters have used. NW Crosby Dr., NW Skyline Ranch Rd. and NW Lolo Dr. that surround Pacific Crest Middle School will be the only roads that will be closed from 3:30-8pm.
Juniors, 9-18 will be free due to the generous support of Horner Law, LLC. Wednesday, June 21, between 4:15-4:45pm, retired professional racers, Chris Horner and Bart Bowen will be on hand to do practice laps with new racers and give them helpful tips and guidance.
